THERE were 106 incidents of theft and robbery but only four arrests made, according to the Department of Public Safetyâs weekly police blotter, covering the period Jan. 1, 2015 to Feb. 14, 2014.
Burglary and theft cases totaled 87 with one arrest; criminal mischief 42 and two arrests; disturbing the peace 61 and 15 arrests; assault, assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, 34 with 10 arrests; domestic violence, 10 with seven arrestees; and âothers,â 32 with seven arrests.
During the same period, DPS received 649 active complaints and disregarded 546 calls or complaints, with 42 calls or complaints logged-in f or a total of 1,237 calls or complaints.
DPS said the calls or complaints were active and were investigated or are still under investigation by the department.
As for traffic incidents, there were 194 auto accidents with one individual arrested; DUI accidents or DUI offenses, 11 with one arrested; and 20 other calls or complaints, with six arrests made.
There were three boat incidents and two swimming incidents.
There were three structure fires and 47 non-criminal incidents that DPS responded to.
DPS has yet to disclose crime statistics from last year.
